{NTP} command (Network Time Protocol)

Fetches the time from an NTP (Network Time Protocol) server.

Syntax

{NTP} offset ␑ dstrule NTPserver

  • offset The offset in hours from UTC time. (Negative values are west)
  • dtsrule One of the following codes:
    • US - United States and Canada
    • EU - Europe and UK
    • AU - Australia
    • NZ - New Zealand
  • NTPserver - the name of the NTP server to be used. If none is provided, time.google.com is used.
This command is designed for RemoteSign ESP devices which do not have a real time clock. Once the time is set, it will maintain reasonable time by itself.

Note: calls to NTP servers should not be made more often than once every 4 seconds.
