Over The Air firmware update
Syntax
{OTA) name
- name - The name of the software image that should be installed.
This will fetch official RemoteSign ESP firmware and install it on the RemoteSign ESP device.
If a screen is present it will indicate the name of the firmware being loaded.
Once the firmware has been installed, the ESP device will reset itself to load the updated software.
Channel definitions will remain intact.
Token data will remain intact.
Wi-Fi credentials will remain intact.
The different screen types supported by RemoteSign ESP need different version of the firmware as follows:
- No screen: NoScreen.vL.bin
- 32 x 128 pixel rectangular OLED: SSD1306-32x128.vL.bin
- 64 x 128 pixel square OLED: SSD1306-64x128.vL.bin
- 40 x73 pixel square OLED: SSD1306-64x128.vL.bin
- 128 x 128 pixel OLED: SH1107-128x128.vL.bin
- 64 x 256 Newhaven OLED: SSD1322.v3.bin
For example {OTA}SSD1306-64x128.vL.bin
will load the latest version for the 64x128 pixel display
Note: There is no need to perform this operation more than once to update the software.
